Keystone Pipeline

Queen’s University professors Warren Mabee and Kim Richard Nossal are available to talk about the Keystone Pipeline proposal in the U.S. There are conflicting media reports today that say President Obama will reject the controversial pipeline.

Dr. Nossal is the director of the Centre for International and Defence Policy at Queen’s University and an expert in Canada-U.S. relations. He can talk about how a Keystone Pipeline decision will impact relations between the two countries. Please note he is in a meeting until 4 pm on Wednesday and available only for phone interviews.

Dr. Mabee is the director of the Queen’s University Institute for Energy and Environmental Policy, and can talk about issues related to the pipeline’s approval process. Dr. Mabee has authored numerous studies examining policy for renewable energy options, and has provided expert advice to both federal and provincial governments on the development of strategies to reduce our reliance upon fossil energy sources.
