Iran nuclear deal
Queen’s University professor Anthony Seaboyer, an expert on Iranian nuclear program, is available to talk about Iran's deal to ship enriched uranium to Turkey.
“This deal is significant because it is the first small movement in the Iranian nuclear conflict from the Iranian side. But it is a fairly small concession as the agreement is not about enrichment in general. It only covers one specific enrichment project. While this exchange is taking place, Iran’s 6,000 centrifuges will continue enriching uranium so Iran still has a long way to before it will appease the international community,” Professor Seaboyer says.
Professor Seaboyer is an expert in Canadian and international security issues at the Queen’s University Centre for International Relations and has taught courses on Iran’s nuclear program.
