Home renovation tax credit

Queen’s University economics professor Robin Boadway is available to discuss the end of the federal government’s home renovation tax credit program, which ends Jan. 31.
“The home improvement tax credit was a reasonable component of the government's stimulus package. But it makes little sense to extend the deadline or make it into a permanent program. It should end when it falls due on January 31.”
Robin Boadway is a professor of economic theory at Queen's University in Kingston and a graduate of Oxford University. He has served in the past as president of the Canadian Economics Association.
