Harper & United Nations/Palestine vote: Queen's University expert
Queen’s University expert Louis Delvoie is available to talk about the United Nations’ vote to recognize Palestine as a non-member observer state.
Mr. Delvoie (a former Canadian ambassador and a fellow at the Centre for International and Defence Policy at Queen’s University) feels the Canadian government is bending over backwards to please the Israeli government.
“This vote and the statements by the Canadian government will confirm Mr. Harpers’ reputation as Mr. Netanyahu’s poodle,” says Mr. Delvoie. “The Canadian Prime Minister is falling all over himself to show himself as pro-Israeli and to consolidate his reputation with the current Israeli government, Canadian Jewish community and the fundamentalist Christian community in Canada.”
