Governor Christie leaves opening to run for president: Queen's University expert

Queen’s University American politics expert Brandon Tozzo is available to comment on the U.S. presidential election on Tuesday, November 6 and Barak Obama’s visit to New Jersey where he met with Republican Governor Chris Christie.

“Alone among Republicans during this divisive campaign season, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has gone on record praising the Obama Administration’s response to Hurricane Sandy,” says Mr. Tozzo. “Governor Christie and President Obama have worked together in devastated areas to provide relief. Mr. Christie’s praise is an attempt to help Obama get re-elected, leaving an opening for the Governor to run for president in 2016.”
