Facebook IPO: Queen's University expert

2012-05-24

Queen’s University business professor John Pliniussen is available to comment on the Facebook IPO which happens later this week.

Dr. Pliniussen, a marketing professor who specializes in technology and business innovation, feels this is one of the most-anticipated IPOs ever.

“The investment community needs a golden day and golden company to add some spark to the smouldering hi-tech stock market. No other business model has connected the world to the extent that Facebook has and investors know that. The IPO is already hugely oversubscribed which means everyone wants in the action, no matter what the initial price. Eight years ago this business did not exist and now it might be worth $100 billion,” says Dr. Pliniussen.

Please note Dr. Pliniussen is only available for phone interviews.
