F-35 jet witness list sparks resignation threat: Queen's University professor
Queen’s University political studies professor emeritus Ned Franks can comment on the chair of the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee and NDP MP David Christopherson threatening to step down. Conservative members of the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee tried to prevent the committee from calling the Auditor General as a witness on the F-35 issue, prompting Mr. Christopherson to threaten resignation.
“It's been a disgraceful show of partisanship by government members on a committee that should be non-partisan,” says Dr. Franks, one of Canada’s top experts on Parliamentary procedure.
