Death of Osama bin Laden

2011-05-18

Queen’s University’s Christian Leuprecht is available to talk about the death of Osama bin Laden.

“As far I can tell this was an execution. The U.S. might have been able to bring Osama out and put him on trial, but U.S. officials wanted to send a message to terrorists around the world – you harm Americans and you are going to pay this price,” Dr. Leuprecht says.

Dr. Leuprecht is a fellow in the Centre for International and Defence Policy at Queen’s University and is an expert in international security issues.
