Busy week ahead for the Vatican: Queen's University expert

2014-02-18

Queen’s University expert in Catholicism and Vice-President of the Canadian Catholic Historical Association Robert Dennis is available to discuss the upcoming events at the Vatican this week – a week being dubbed the most critical of Pope Francis’ papacy so far.

“It will be a busy week ahead for the Vatican: on February 22, Pope Francis will create new Cardinals, including the Archbishop of Quebec, Gerald Lacroix, in his first Consistory,” says Dr. Dennis. “There will also be a meeting of his 8 Cardinal Advisory team discussing reforms to the Vatican's financial administrative structure. Lastly, Bishops will be meeting to discuss a synod on family issues held last year, and they will tackle questions on the family, marriage, and sexuality.”

Please note that Dr. Dennis is available for interviews only on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
