Alleged Rob Ford video still missing after Gawker raises $200,000: Queen's University expert

Queen’s University sociology professor Vincent Mosco is available to comment on Gawker issuing a plea for the whereabouts of the alleged Rob Ford crack video after hitting its $200,000 target. Gawker’s Crackstarter reached its goal earlier this week but now the owner of the video cannot be found.

Dr. Mosco is a sociology professor emeritus who specializes in the sociology of communication and information technology and is the author of numerous books on communication, technology and society (including The Political Economy of Communication). He can comment on crowdsource funding and how social media and technology play a part in a story like this.
