University to mark Remembrance Day on Friday

A plaque near the entrance of the John Deutsch University Centre serves as a reminder that the Student Union Building is dedicated to the 4,000 men and women of the Queen's community who served in the armed forces during the wars of the 20th century.

The Queen’s community will commemorate Remembrance Day on Friday, November 9 with services in Grant Hall and on West Campus.

University Chaplain Brian Yealland will conduct a service at Grant Hall from 10:50-11:20 am. At Duncan McArthur Hall on West Campus, the service will begin at 10:45 am with music, readings, and a choir composed of teacher candidates.

Classes on both campuses are cancelled during the 10:30 am to 11:30 am time slot.
