Training for new HR administrative system set to begin
A training team will be providing formal PeopleSoft training to more than 600 authorized users in preparation for the transition to the new HR administrative system this December.
“Effective training is a key element of the PeopleSoft transition,” says training manager Stephen Sakell. “All users will be required to complete their training in order to be granted access to the system, but beyond that, the training provides all the relevant information in targeted courses, ensuring that everyone is informed and prepared prior to launch.”
The training will be delivered via a variety of courses, including a general introductory course and more specific courses on everything from hiring and contracting to timekeeping and compensation.
Department heads were recently asked to identify users of the HR PeopleSoft system. The employees identified by their department heads are being notified of upcoming required training courses. Dozens of training sessions will be held, allowing employees several opportunities to complete their required courses. Registration for each scheduled class is limited and early registration is highly encouraged.
Course materials are available online for viewing, downloading, and/or printing. The materials include interactive demos, reference materials, and step-by-step aids.
