Top 16 teams selected for entrepreneurs' competition
The Queen's Entrepreneurs' Competition (QEC) is fast approaching. QEC is the largest international undergraduate business plan competition in Canada. The top 16 international teams have been selected and invited to compete in the final round of competition from Jan. 22-24.
Queen's students are invited to attend the final round of presentations on Saturday, Jan. 24 at no cost. The presentations will be held in room 348, Goodes Hall from 8:30 am to 12:45 pm. Each presentation will last 45 minutes. Student entrepreneurs will present their ideas and hear feedback from the distinguished judges, including top CEOs and big-name entrepreneurs such as the CEO of PwC and the president of VISA Canada.
QEC is also opening up a limited number of delegate spots for the evening events taking place on Saturday, Jan. 24. This includes the wine and cheese social at Joy Supper Club and the final gala dinner and banquet at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour. The keynote speaker for the evening is Kathleen Sendall, presently Petro-Canada's only female vice president.
To sign up for the gala contact Jennifer Turliuk, jennifer.turliuk@qec09.com or visit http://www.theqec.com for more information.
