Tentative agreement reached between QUFA and Queen's

After more than six months of negotiation, a tentative Collective Agreement has been reached in negotiations between Queen's and the Queen's University Faculty Association (QUFA). QUFA represents all 1,250 full-time and part-time faculty, librarians and archivists at Queen's.

The tentative Collective Agreement, if accepted, will renew the previous Collective Agreements, which expired on April 30 this year, for a three-year term expiring on April 30, 2011. The agreement is subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees of the University and ratification by the members of QUFA. The details of these approval and ratification processes are being finalized and will be announced shortly.

Further details of the tentative Agreement will be released upon the conclusion of the approval and ratification processes. For more information, contact Marvin Baer, QUFA Chief Negotiator at 613-533-2151 or Jim Vair, Associate Vice-Principal (Faculty Relations) at 613-533-2020.
