Researchers, students explore future of software field
2012-08-24
More than 100 leading researchers and students from 13 countries working in the field of mining software repositories (MSR) gathered at Queen’s August 20-24 for the MITACS MSR Vision 2020. MSR developed as a field of study 10 years ago and focuses on making use of the various types of data to improve the quality of software systems. MSR also supports informed decision-making throughout the lifetime of large-scale software systems. Participants at the event, which was organized by Ahmed Hassan in the Queen's School of Computing and supported by Research in Motion, looked at planning for the next decade.
