Queen’s reunites with Queen’s School of Religion
A reception on Tuesday, May 1 marked the merger of Queen’s Theological College – called Queen’s School of Religion (QSR) since 2009 – with Queen’s University.
In 1912, Queen’s College (founded by the Presbyterian Church) split into Queen’s University and Queen’s Theological College so the University could receive public funding. Now, as the two merge a century later, QSR becomes part of the University once again, with its own unit in the Faculty of Arts and Science.
Pictured is Principal Daniel Woolf mingling at the celebration with Pamela Dickey Young, outgoing Principal, QSR, and Gordon Smith, Associate Dean, Faculty of Arts and Science.
