Peter Milliken honoured at Grunnan Onarach reception

Alumni are invited to celebrate the spirit of Queen's at the Grunnan Onarach Award Reception, to be held on Wednesday, Dec. 10. Peter Milliken (Arts '68), Kingston and the Islands MP and Speaker of the House of Commons, will be recognized as an exceptional ambassador of Queen's in Ottawa.

Mr. Milliken was selected to join the Grunnan Onarach in 2008 in recognition of his ongoing, outstanding support for the Ottawa Branch of the Queen's University Alumni Association.

Through his willingness to participate in numerous branch-led events and, even more notably, to host Queen's alumni at Parliament Hill and at The Farm (the Official Residence of the Speaker of the House of Commons) on several occasions, Mr. Milliken has demonstrated a remarkable level of commitment to his alma mater.

The formal event, hosted by the Ottawa Branch of the Alumni Association, will be held at the Rideau Club in Ottawa, from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. The cost is $35 per person. Reservations will be accepted until Monday, Dec. 8. To register, visit adv.queensu.ca/events/grunnan or call 613-533-2060 (800-267-7837)
