Learn for life--HR offers certificate courses and workshops
Do you want to master email conventions, improve your listening skills or recognize the impact change has on yourself and others? Human Resources has a workshop for that.
Employees seeking to sharpen their skills and deepen their knowledge can now register for the many workshops and programs offered by Human Resources this winter and spring.
“Building employees’ capacity through relevant, high-quality learning experiences helps maintain a productive and highly-engaged workplace,” says Shannon Hill, HR learning and development specialist.
All workshops are free for Queen’s employees. The learning catalogue has been posted on the Human Resources website, and the Queen’s Events Calendar also contains workshop details.
Staff members can register online for individual workshops, lunch-hour wellness sessions and certificate programs. Refreshments will be served at all half-day and full-day workshops.
Some of the workshops can be tailored to fit the needs of your team or department. The HR website has a list of possible topics that can be customized for in-house training.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss an idea for a new workshop, email Ms Hill or contact her at ext. 74175.
