Green Scheme will be holding a tree planting and park clean up event this Saturday May 29th at 11:00 am at Victoria Park. Any interested Kingston community members are invited to help make Victoria park a little greener by helping plant four additional trees on park grounds. Green Scheme is a not-for-profit urban greening organization with a mandate of increasing urban green space in the Sydenham and Williamsville wards.

Green Scheme was created by Queen's students in 2006 and has since been involved in many tree planting events. Most recently, Green Scheme organized a clean up and tree planting on Aberdeen Street in October of last year. This Saturday's event is the second at Victoria Park, after an event held in September 2006 where 18 students and community members planted four trees.
