Flags lowered for Professor Emeritus Hoaken
Flags on campus are lowered for Paul Hoaken, professor emeritus in the Department of Psychiatry.
Dr. Hoaken joined the Department of Psychiatry in 1964, spending the majority of his 30-year career at Hotel Dieu Hospital. Dr. Hoaken was promoted to the rank of professor at Queen’s University in 1983 and, upon his retirement in August 1996, he was granted professor emeritus status. Following his retirement, he continued to work in a post-retirement capacity until December 2007 in the Mood Disorders Service at Kingston Psychiatric Hospital.
A celebration of Dr. Hoaken’s life will be held Wednesday, April 6 from 3-6 pm at the University Club at Queen’s (166 Stuart Street). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University Hospitals Kingston foundation, or the charity of your choice.
