Construction closures at Mackintosh-Corry, Dunning and University Ave

The new cooling towers for Mackintosh-Corry Hall North, Mackintosh-Corry Hall South and Dunning Hall have been delivered and will be assembled on the west side of Mackintosh-Corry. By Tuesday, May 6 the towers will be ready to be crane-lifted onto the roofs. It is important that everyone avoids the following areas while work is in progress:

Tuesday, May 6, noon – 2 pm: Area affected: E300. Mackintosh-Corry Hall South. Cranes will arrive at 10 am for setup for lifts. Occupants of Block E, 3rd Floor south will be requested to leave the area while the lifts take place between noon and 2 pm.

Wednesday, May 7, 10 – noon: Area affected: Dunning Hall 3rd floor south. Cranes will arrive at 8 am for setup for lifts. Occupants of Dunning 3rd floor south will be requested to leave the area while the lifts take place between 10 am - noon.

Important note: University Ave. from Union Street to Bader Lane will be closed from 8 am to 12 noon.

Wednesday, May 7, 2-4 pm: Area affected: C500. Mackintosh-Corry Hall North. Cranes will arrive at noon and setup on the northwest side of Mackintosh-Corry Hall for lifts. All occupants of Block C, 5th floor North will be requested to leave the area while the lifts take place between 2-4 pm.
