Clark Hall Pub opens to community, alumni for Homecoming and Ritual

Queen's undergraduate Engineering Society (EngSoc) will open Clark Hall Pub's patio for “Ritual” this Friday September 26 from 11 am to 6 pm.  The traditional Friday event will be open to all alumni and the Queen's-Kingston community.

EngSoc has contracted Portsmouth Harbour to cater the special Homecoming patio event.  The actual pub will not be open for “Ritual” as EngSoc works to re-open the new pub officially on October 8.

“The new pub will still be run by the engineering students and we want them to make it their home, but we want it appeal to all students,” says Jordan Black, EngSoc president. “We plan to continue the pub's many rich traditions, while inviting all students and community members to be a part of its future.”

Over the summer, EngSoc has been working towards re-opening the pub for the entire Queen's-Kingston community. The pub boasts a number of new changes including: a new paint job and furniture upgrades; complete bathroom renovations; new LED lighting, which will reduce lighting energy costs by 90 per cent; a new sound system; and new uniforms, all symbolizing the beginning a new era for the pub.
