Chef Michael Smith serving food sustainability at Queen's
One of Canada's best-known chef's will be on campus on Thursday, February 5, and food sustainability will be on his plate.
Chef Michael Smith, cooking show personality, cookbook author, newspaper columnist and restaurant chef, will be hosting three events.
9:30 – 11 am
John Deutsch University Centre
Chef Smith will host an interactive discussion “Food Sustainability: your place in today's world of food” and demonstrate how to make select dressings from his book Chef at Home.
11:15 am. – 2:30 pm
Ban Righ Dining Hall
Chef Smith will interact with the crowd during the event and serve lunch featuring his own recipes prepared with local and sustainable products. The cost for lunch is $9.25 plus tax.
2:45 – 4 pm
Macintosh Corry Hall Corridor
Chef Smith will finish the day with a book signing.
All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend all of the events. This is the second instalment in the Field to Fork series.
