Campus mourns death of a student

Flags are flying at half-staff in memory of a student who died on the weekend.

Eighteen-year-old Jack Windeler of Toronto was in first-year Arts and Science.

"On behalf of the entire Queen's community, I wish to express our deepest sympathies to Jack's family and friends," said Principal Daniel Woolf.

The University has been reaching out to those who knew Jack. To access support services and resources, students are encouraged to contact counselling services at 613-533-2506 or just walk in to 146 Stuart Street.

Students gathered in Leonard Hall last night to grieve the loss and a tree will be planted on campus in Jack's memory. A service is being held by his family in Toronto on Wednesday at 11 am at the Rosedale Presbyterian Church, 129 Mount Pleasant Road at South Drive.
