All welcome at Shine Day
Come join Queen's Orientation on Saturday, Sept. 12 from noon until 5:30 pm for the annual Shine Day in Confederation Park.
This family-friendly event will include face painting, balloon animals, a bouncy castle, carnival games, live music, great food, and will begin with a mayoral address at 1 pm. Shine Day is part of Shinerama, a nationwide fundraising event supporting research and services for people fighting cystic fibrosis.
CF is the most common, fatal, genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. In September, more than 35,000 students on nearly 60 university and college campuses across Canada will participate in Shinerama. Each community, volunteer and particpant brings us one step closer to reaching the goal of a cure or an effective control for CF.
Don't miss out on this great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those affected by cystic fibrosis!
