Aboriginal playwrights to present work at Queen's
The Department of Drama, together with the Playwrights Guild of Canada, Canada Council for the Arts and Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre present three aboriginal playwrights from different corners of the world on Monday, February 2nd.
The Department of Drama, together with the Playwrights Guild of Canada, Canada Council for the Arts and Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre present three aboriginal playwrights from different corners of the world on Monday, February 2nd.
The event begins with a public reading by Winnipeg's Yvette Nolan at the Rotunda Theatre in the Theological Building from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
At 1:30 pm, Nolan will be joined by playwrights Miria George of the Cook Islands and Hone Kouka of New Zealand for a panel discussion on cross cultural theatre production and creation.
Coffee with the visiting artists will take place from 4 to 5 pm at the Four Directions Aboriginal Student Centre at 146 Barrie Street, followed by a feast in their honour.
