Adding Classes and Styles to your Web Page

 

 

Adding Classes and Styles to your Web Page can help make the page more user friendly.  They can be used to break up text or highlight an important aspect of the page. These classes and styles are part of the WebPublish II system and are available to everyone using WebPublish II to create their web site.

 

To add a class to a webpage edit the page and switch to the Source view.  Then locate the spot you want your class to be inserted and

 

  • Go to https://webpublish.queensu.ca/demosite/about/appearance/classes
  • locate the class you would like to insert in your webpage
  • copy the code provided
  • edit the webpage and switch to the Source view
  • Locate the spot you want your class to be inserted
  • paste the code into the webpage
  • save the web page
  • the class will be displayed on your webpage

Callouts!

can be used to identify sections of information like a PDF, Twitter, Facebook, Read about.

Collapsible Content

is used to hide information from view until the bar is click to reveal the information.  Can be used to hide an image until the viewer wishes to view it.

Draw attention to information imbedded in the page.
