Allowing Someone to Publish to Your Web Destination (Direct Publishing)

Direct Publishing allows someone else to publish their videos to your Web Destination (playlist). For example, if multiple instructors teach one course, and everyone would like to display their respective videos in a single Web Destination in Moodle, one instructor would create a Web Destination, then grant the others the ability to display their videos in that Web Destination.

To follow this tutorial, you must have:

  1. After logging into your account, click the Administration tab (a), then click "Direct Publishing" (b).
  2. administration tab and direct publishing link
  3. Click the Add Direct Publishing Access button. If you do not see this button, then you have not added a share.
  4. add direct publish access button
  5. Select the people you would like to give Direct Publishing access to (a). Select the Web Destinations you would like these people to publish to (b), and click Allow Direct Publishing (c). If you do not see the person you're trying to grant permission to, then you have not added them as a share.
  6. add direct publishing access window
  7. You will be brought back to the Direct Publishing page, and will now see your changes.
  8. direct publishing page

You're Finished!

You have successfully enabled Direct Publishing for a shared Web Destination! The individuals who will be publishing to your Web Destination will follow the Publish to Others' Web Destinations tutorial.

To review content published to your Web Destinations, click the Shared Library tab.
