Symantec / Norton AntiVirus

Description:	Symantec/Norton AntiVirus protects your PC against computer viruses, spyware and adware. As of June 2009, Windows users at Queen's should switch from using Symantec AntiVirus (SAV) to using Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP). SAV has reached the end of its lifecycle and SEP is Symantec's follow-on product. It is recommended that all Queen's Mac users run Norton AntiVirus. Queen's users can install it for free, rather than paying a fee for other anti-virus software. Note that a second anti-virus product should not be installed if one is already installed. The two programs typically will interfere with one another which can render the computer useless.
