ITS distributes MathWorks' products as a service to the university to obtain optimum pricing to its users under a concurrent licensing agreeement. Concurrent licensing allows products to be licensed per concurrent user on computers that are connected to a server running a single license manager. The product is not restricted to named designated users; instead, it allows a specified number of concurrent users to run the products on any computer on a local area network. The license option is available for Windows, UNIX, Linux, and Macintosh OS X.
For product information and a complete list of of Toolboxes, Simulink, Embedded Targets, and Simulink Blocksets, see the MathWorks web site at http://www.mathworks.com/products/
The software licensing period runs from May to April. Both renewals and new product purchases are collected once a year, sometime in April, in order to take advantage of bulk pricing. Notification is sent to the Departmental Computing Representatives' mailing list, as well as current licensed users. There are some products that may be available during the year when ITS may purchase a few extra licenses to get the best price. Products may be purchased during the year, although the quantity discount no longer applies.
Academic pricing is reserved for on-campus classroom instruction and academic research. Student licenses are for use on a student's own computer in connection with courses and must be purchased through the Mathworks website.

*These prices do NOT include exchange and taxes
To compute price, multiply the appropriate unit price by the number of concurrent users. The final cost of the products is dependent on the total number of copies required. PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE $US.
