Over the holiday break, an update process necessary to roll over the academic term from Fall 2012 to Winter 2013 contained a data feed error. This error resulted in corrupted student data, thereby reducing or removing access to applications and services. ITServices has prepared an Incident Report which summarizes this issue and provides information on causes, impact, resolution, communications, costs, and follow-up action items.
From time to time, unplanned system or service outages do occur that cause a significant disruption to normal operations. It is our plan to publish incident reports for any future similar events in the hope that this will help our stakeholders better understand the causes behind such disruptions and gain insight into ITServices commitment as a service-oriented organization.
