Undergraduate Students Have Been Successfully Migrated to O365

 

Over the weekend of January 26, 2013, undergraduate students were successfully migrated to their new email service, Microsoft Office 365.

 

A total of 46,558 accounts were migrated, made up of:

 

  • 24,996 undergraduate students
  • 19,73 non-credit students
  • 1,989 applicants

446,861 emails were delivered in the first four days the new service was in production (January 26-29) - that's almost half a million mail messages!

 

Student feedback on the new service has been positive thus far as based on mentions to @queensprincipal, @queensu and @bjuul on social media.

 

So what's so great about the new undergraduate student email? O365 is the first externally hosted solution offered by ITServices and this brings usability, environmental and economic benefits, in addition to greatly enhanced functionality.
