Gartner Reveals the Top 10 Strategic Technology Trends For 2013

 

Gartner Inc., a leader in information technology research, has predicted the top ten strategic technology trends for next year. The top three are:

  • Mobile device battles,
  • mobile applications & HTML 5 and
  • the personal cloud.

Eric Savitz, technology analyst with Forbes Magazine, reports that cloud computing and mobile devices will continue to be "mutually reinforcing trends"; that the "bring your own device trend [will] accelerate" and that "in 2013, mobile devices will pass PCs to be [the] most common Web access tool".
