ITServices is pleased to announce the opening of both a 30-seat videoconferencing classroom (Room B113) and a 9-seat videoconferencing boardroom (Room D120) in Mackintosh-Corry Hall. The classroom easily facilitates a guest lecturer from another city who can enjoy full two-way video and audio communication; it also enables a Queen’s class to join another class taking place in a similarly equipped facility anywhere in the world.
An ITServices technician is required to operate both facilities, so users need not have any specialized knowledge of the equipment. The charge for the technician is $40 per hour of videoconference time (after hours charges are slightly higher). There is no charge for the setup and testing of the equipment prior to the conference.
