Global Career Seminar - Japan

Applications for Summer 2024 are now closed.

Program period: From 2 June to 12 July online; 2 August to 10 August 2024 in person.

As with the Global Career Seminar in Canada, in this program students from Kwansei Gakuin University (KGU) and the four Canadian partner universities are placed into groups which are then given specific business problems, offered by representatives from corporations, which they will be expected to analyze and propose solutions for.

This is a great opportunity to build intercultural awareness, gain insight into major corporations and the issues they are tackling, and make international and business connections, particularly for students in non-Business backgrounds, while gaining academic credit.

Learning Sessions

Pre-Seminar Sessions (Online): 2 June -  12 July, 2024

Approximately 8 pre-lectures (synchronous, asynchronous, and on-demand).

During this period of the program you will learn basic knowledge of business frameworks via online lectures.

Applicants must attend all the Pre-Seminar Sessions and submit the assignments as stated in the course syllabus.

Synchronous sessions will be held around 6:00pm - 9:30pm Ontario time. More details can be found in the course outline below.

Intensive Course Period (conducted in-person in Japan)

2 August - 10 August, 2024 on-site at Kwansei Gakuin University in Japan. During this intensive period of the program, you will attend the onside seminar sessions, work on a group project with students from other CCC participating universities, and present your final group findings to the representatives of companies onsite.
