Take courses in biology, archaeology and anthropology while on safari in East Africa.
Experience first hand, the rich diversity of plants, wildlife, and peoples in a perfect complement to the
program's theme of biodiversity.
East Africa provides the ideal range of people and ecology to exemplify the theme of biodiversity, in
both the cultural and biological sense. Travelling through the Great Rift Valley, likely the birthplace of
the human species, archaeology instructors can, as part of their course work, take students to the actual
sites of major finds. Anthropologists can use examples from the local people met on safari, while biologists
are literally surrounded by the most abundant wildlife in the world.
The Canadian Field Studies in Africa Program is open to all Queen's University students. Queen's students apply directly to McGill University on an International Letter of Permission.
