It is said that a bee-catcher, born in captivity, instinctively hunted wild bees when first introduced to the species. Even though it was stung multiple times, and must have felt terror, pain and bewilderment, the tiny bird persisted until it became a successful hunter.
The persistence and courage of this little bird caught my imagination and symbolizes the message of empowerment emphasized by the Woman Recreated Mosaic Project.
