Sagar Manandhar is a native of Kathmandu, Nepal, where he was born in 1985 and whose metropolitan flag he designed after winning a contest at the age of 17. He received his BA and MA in Fine Arts from Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, India, winning a gold medal each time, and is now a lecturer at the Centre for Art and Design at the School of Arts of Kathmandu University. Manandhar has had ten solo exhibit and many group shows in Nepal and abroad. He has also participated in various workshops and residency programs.
The painting reveals the recreation of feminine beauty. The amalgamation of the beauty of woman and nature is executed
by vibrant colors and subtle lines. The depiction of woman as nature is what I have tried to portray.
