Childcare Benefit Plan – amendment effective July 1, 2011 for General Staff employees (Grades 2-9)

In the event that nominal value of the Childcare Benefit Plan for non-Research, Grant & Contract General Staff employees (Grades 2-9) results in a pro-ration of the employee benefit in any of the 2011-12, 2012-13 or the 2013-14 academic years, a reserve, up to a maximum amount of $10,000.00, will be established to top-up the employee benefit, up to the established maximum plan benefit, for the academic year in which the pro-ration occurred.

To the extent that the Reserve funds allocated for either the Tuition Support Plan or the Childcare Benefit Plan in any given academic year are not fully utilized by the Plan to which they were allocated, the remaining unused funds may be transferred to the Reserve fund of the other Plan for the same academic year.

Unused Reserve funds will not be carried forward from one academic year to the next.
