The Child Development Centre, located at Hotel Dieu Hospital, provides assessment and treatment for children who are physically and/or developmentally challenged. Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech pathologists, psychologists, paediatricians, and infant development workers provide services for children from birth to nineteen years of age. Children are generally referred by a physician. Augmentative Communication Service (ACS) Kingston is also housed and administered by Hotel Dieu Hospital. This program offers technology and/or alternatives to speech or handwriting for those who have difficulty meeting their daily communication needs.

Community Living Kingston provides a range of services to individuals of all ages who have intellectual disabilities. It operates child care resource consulting services, family support, respite-relief, adult day services and shared living facilities. Community Living Kingston promotes an inclusive community for all individuals in all aspects of their lives.

Easter Seals Ontario assists children and young adults with physical disabilities. They provide direct financial support to families for the purchase of expensive mobility equipment , communication devices, send kids to specialized summer camps, provide access to resources and information, and invest money in research and prevention programs.

Extend-A-Family supports families of children with disabilities by providing referrals to other community agencies. Additionally, we assist family with determining goals, accessing respite funding through ministry programs and facilitating integration through our day programs.

The Family Resource Centre is committed to ensuring that the family members of persons with mental health problems in the district have easy access to the information and support they require to enable them to fulfill their roles in relation to their family member. The Family Resource Centre is sponsored by Frontenac Community Mental Health Services. The Resource Centre is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It provides access to resources concerning chronic mental illness. These include books, brochures, videos and information on support groups. The FRC office is open for walk-in and telephone requests. Enquiries are answered by trained staff members and by volunteers from the members of the family groups.

The Resource Consultant Program provides information, support and consultation services to families of children aged birth-12 years of age who face barriers to development. Support is comprehensive and is provided in a flexible manner that supports the principles of inclusion and the priorities of the families and is available in the home and/or in a community child care setting.

Ongwanada is a non-profit organization providing services to individuals with a developmental disability and their families in Kingston and eastern Ontario. Our programs and services are delivered at three main sites in Kingston, more than 20 community residences as well as other homes and offices in the region.
In addition to residential options, some services include Day Support, Vocational and Life Skills Training, Medical Services, Occupational and Physical Therapy, Respite Care, Community Behavioural Services and Adult Protective Services. All Ongwanada facilities are wheelchair accessible.
