Queen's Historians awarded grant by Veterans Affairs Canada

A group led by Dr Allan English that includes Dr Claire Cookson-Hills from the History Dept has been awarded a grant of $210,000 over 5 years by Veterans Affairs Canada from the Veteran and Family Well-Being Fund. Their project was one of 21 selected out of 155 applicants. The project will involve collaborating with other groups to support female Veterans and still-serving members transitioning out of the Canadian Armed Forces to live in Canadian communities, by specifically filling information, understanding, and participation gaps in research and service supports. The award was announced on 22 Oct 2018 by the Minister of Veterans Affairs: https://www.canada.ca/en/veterans-affairs-canada/news/2018/10/veteran-and-family-well-being-fund.html.
