Dr. Kerim Kartal was recently chosen as a Champion for Mental Health. He was nominated by one of his students in HIST 259 Islamophobia: Crusades to the Present.
The Champions for Mental Health Program recognizes and celebrates educators and staff members who create supportive environments where student mental health is valued and supported.
Dr. Kartal completed his PhD in the Department of History and continues to teach for the Department as a term adjunct instructor.
