Queen's University

Building on the Foundations of Science

Frederick Hampton valued a quality learning environment...

frederick-hampton.jpgFrederick Hampton earned his elementary teacher’s certificate at Queen’s in 1937 – and after ten years of teaching and a stint in the Air Force, he returned to Queen’s as a mature student to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1949.

Mr. Hampton became a high school teacher and an enthusiastic Queen’s supporter who truly believed in the value of his education and the university, stating that Queen’s “will just get better and better with the superior post-secondary education it offers, the great campus life, the leadership excellence and world-renowned alumni.”

Today, his charitable gift annuities have helped to ensure that Queen’s Biosciences Complex continues that world-class legacy by supporting an innovative and leading-edge learning environment for scientific discovery. His gift will help us train scientists – and high school science teachers – for whatever tomorrow may bring.
