Nominations being sought for University Council election

All alumni are eligible to fill 10 four-year term positions. Deadline for nominations is April 2, 4 p.m.

Nominations are being sought from alumni to fill 10 positions on University Council.

All alumni are eligible for nomination to the University Council.

The positions include:

  • 10 four-year terms (Sept. 1, 2024 to Aug. 31, 2028)

Nomination forms and information about the process are available at the University Secretariat and Legal Counsel website, or by contacting the University Secretariat by email.

Candidates must be nominated in writing by at least two alumni. Nominations must be submitted by 4 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

In order to help University Council achieve the goal of reflecting the diversity of Canadian society, alumni are encouraged to consider individuals from equity deserving groups such as women, Black, racialized and Indigenous peoples, persons with a disability, and persons who identify in the 2SLGBTQ+ community when nominating a candidate.

The 2024 election will be held online from May 15-29, 2024.
