Prospective students must first apply to Queen's University. See www.queensu.ca/admission.
Admission to the DEVS program is based on your Queen's university grades (cumulative average). There is no predetermined grade cutoff. SOLUS simply accepts students with the highest grades in descending order until the degree option is full.
Your first year at Queen's is considered a general year of study. We highly recommend that you register in DEVS 100 in your first year as this is a prerequisite for second year DEVS courses.
At the end of your first year you choose between a Major, Medial or Minor program in Global Development Studies by declaring your plan on SOLUS at the beginning of the preregistration period (mid to late May). For more information on plan selection, please see www.queensu.ca/registrar
From the beginning of June students can access SOLUS to view approved program placement. Course selection begins towards the end of June when the timetable is released. Course registration takes place in mid-July.
