Preparation and Submission Timeline

Fall term end

Student identifies supervisor
Jan 15 Student submits Supervisory Agreement Form, signed by student and supervisor, to Graduate Office.
Jan 31 Student submits first proposal for research topic (1-2 pages plus preliminary bibliography) to supervisor and prospective second readers.
Feb 15 Student and supervisor confirm second reader.
May 15 Student submits more detailed proposal (approx. 5 pages) to supervisor, second reader and Graduate Office.
Jun 30 Student submits draft of complete MRP (50-60 pages, with prescribed cover page) to supervisor and second reader.
Jul 7 Supervisor returns draft with feedback to student.
Jul 15 Student delivers e-copies of submission version to supervisor and second reader, or two hard copies to Graduate Office for distribution to supervisor/second reader.
Aug 15 Supervisor/second reader complete grading and communicate result to student and Graduate Office.
Aug 31

Student submits final version of MRP incorporating any requested revisions to the DEVS Graduate Office in the following formats:

  • 3 spiral-bound hard copies with prescribed cover page;
  • 1 e-copy
NB:  Dates that fall on a weekend or holiday revert to the next business day.
