Given the high demand for Classics courses, it is imperative that students register for their fall and winter courses during their assigned time ticket window the previous summer. In the past, most CLST courses were filled to room capacity by the end of the summer registration period. Students who are in some circumstance that gives them a late time ticket or prevents them from registering during their time ticket should be aware that there may not be space available in Classics courses during the September open registration period.
Before registering for courses, students should work out alternative choices. If your first choice for a course is full, register for one of your alternatives instead. Openings may arise later on in the registration period and if so, students should use the SWAP function in SOLUS to ensure that they don't lose their spot in both courses. Keep in mind that room might still be available in a first year course with a larger enrollment capacity, or in an ancient language course.
Students should be aware that third and fourth year Classics courses are currently reserved for Classics concentrators, at those levels or above, with the appropriate prerequisites.
