International students should also appraise themselves of the following before applying: 

• English Language Test: English is the language of instruction and communication at Queen's.
• Immigration Requirements: There are many documents required by Immigration before you can attain your study permit. You must leave plenty of time to acquire these, so apply early to Queen's.
• Medical Coverage: It is compulsory to have the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) as an international student.
• International Tuition Award: a $5,000 tuition credit for each funding eligible year.
