Qualifications and Research Interests

  • PhD in History of Art, University of Oviedo, Spain.
  • PG Diploma in Education, University of Cantabria, Spain.
  • MA in Cultural and Critical Theory, University of Brighton, UK.
  • BA (Hons) History of Art, University of Oviedo, Spain.

Dr. Cereceda's research interests are in Contemporary art, particularly in landscape representation and maritime themes. Her PhD dissertation entailed the creation of XXth century painter Eduardo San's catalogue raisonné and she has published widely on the topic.

Her current research is focused on the connections between ancient European civilizations and contemporary artistic representations of landscape and maritime elements. She has also dedicated the last few years to research and develop guidelines and pedagogic strategies for the development of experiential learning in the humanities.
