  • PhD in Religious Studies, University of Aberdeen
  • MLitt in Religious Studies and Social Anthropology, University of Aberdeen
  • MA, Shivaji University, Sociology and Anthropology
  • BEd, University of Kerala
  • BA in Mathematics and English Literature, Madras University

Dr. Gabriel’s research interests are in inter-religious relations, Islam in South and South East Asia and Hinduism in South India. He has published widely on these subjects and is currently working on a project on Christian-Muslim relations in Egypt.
